The UAE Accountability Authority and the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance bilateral cooperation.
The agreement focuses on safeguarding public resources and promoting the principles of effective governance. It reflects a shared commitment to transparency, accountability, and the efficient management of public funds.
The MoU was signed at the headquarters of the UAE Accountability Authority in Abu Dhabi during a meeting between Humaid Obaid Abushibs, Chairman of the UAE Accountability Authority, and Dr. Isma Yatun, Chairwoman of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia.
According to the statement, this agreement comes within the framework of enhancing oversight relations between the two countries.
The Memorandum of Understanding outlines a broad range of cooperation areas. These include the exchange of specialized knowledge and the sharing of best practices in auditing, accounting, and the oversight of public resources.
It also provides a framework for mutual participation in training programs and capacity-building initiatives, as well as coordination in attending relevant events and conferences, further strengthening institutional ties between the two entities.
The MoU also reaffirms both countries’ commitment to advancing governance standards across vital sectors. Further, this collaboration aims to support sustainable development and promote global economic security and stability.
The UAE and Indonesia have steadily deepened their cooperation in recent years, with growing trade, investment, and diplomatic exchanges.
