The UAE and Burkina Faso, a country in West Africa, have explored ways to strengthen cooperation across various areas such as economic partnerships, investment opportunities and sustainable development.
During the meeting held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, and Karamoko Jean-Marie Traoré, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabè Abroad of the Republic of Burkina Faso, reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral ties.
They discussed regional and international developments of mutual interest and highlighted the significance of bolstering diplomatic ties to foster peace, security, and stability in Africa and the wider region.
Shakhboot bin Nahyan also participated in the Investment Forum organized by Burkina Faso in Abu Dhabi. The forum was attended by Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabe Abroad, along with a delegation of ministers and special advisors.
During the forum, Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan highlighted the robust bilateral relations between the UAE and Burkina Faso, and praised the remarkable progress made in recent years under the guidance of both leaderships.
Shakhboot bin Nahyan also stressed the importance of the forum as a platform for strengthening economic, trade, and investment cooperation between the two countries while fostering development opportunities that benefit both sides.
Traoré conveyed greetings to H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and wished for further development and prosperity for the government and people of the UAE.
Furthermore, Traoré expressed gratitude for the UAE’s warm reception and generous hospitality, highlighting Burkina Faso’s commitment to strengthening ties with the UAE across various fields of mutual interest.
