The UAE and the Dominican Republic have established a bilateral partnership focused on sharing expertise in government modernization, capacity building, and future skills development.
The partnership was formalized by Abdulla Nasser Lootah, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange, and Luis Madera Sued, Deputy Minister of Planning and Public Investment, Dominican Republic.
Signed under the umbrella of the UAE Government Experience Exchange Program, the agreement aims to share best practices and pioneering governance models with nations across the world. This strategic move also falls in line with the UAE’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with Caribbean nations.
Abdulla Nasser Lootah highlighted that the Dominican Republic’s inclusion in this program reflects growing global confidence in the UAE’s government modernization model, cementing the country’s position as a leading global partner in shaping the future of governance.
Lootah also emphasized the UAE’s commitment to bolstering and expanding cooperation across the Caribbean in multiple sectors, including knowledge exchange and government development.
Assistant Minister further underscored that the program serves as a global platform for sharing knowledge in the fields of governance, public sector innovation, and capacity building. It seeks to enhance government performance and societal well-being, while enabling countries to develop agile, future-ready governance models that can adapt to changes and challenges.
Meanwhile, Luis Madera Sued highlighted the Dominican Republic’s strong interest in enhancing collaboration with the UAE, particularly in areas related to government reform and modernization. Deputy Minister also noted that such cooperation would play a pivotal role in supporting the country’s strategic plans and future policy initiatives.
