“Infrastructure projects are implemented under a comprehensive vision grounded in proactive planning and the adoption of the highest global specifications and standards in design and execution. This ensures readiness to accommodate urban expansion and population growth while delivering sustainable developmental impact that enhances quality of life and supports the national economy.”

Eng. Mohammed Al Mansoori has reviewed progress on several priority projects to ensure adherence to approved timelines and accelerate delivery according to the highest international standards.

Emirates Road Enhancement Project

Among the flagship initiatives is the Emirates Road Enhancement Project, a cornerstone of the federal road network aimed at improving traffic flow and boosting logistics efficiency nationwide.

The project includes the redevelopment of Interchange No. (7), featuring six directional bridges extending 12.6 kilometers with a capacity of up to 13,200 vehicles per hour, in addition to 3.4 kilometers of collector roads.

With a total investment of $204 million (AED750 million), the two-year project began in September 2025 and is expected to reduce travel time by up to 45 percent while significantly easing congestion.

The initiative also involves expanding Emirates Road from three to five lanes in each direction over a 25-kilometer stretch, increasing capacity to approximately 9,000 vehicles per hour—an uplift of up to 65 percent.

Advancing judicial and healthcare infrastructure

The Ministry has also progressed work on the Dibba Al Fujairah Court and Public Prosecution building, a project designed to enhance judicial infrastructure and elevate service delivery standards.

The facility incorporates smart systems to improve energy and water efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and optimize operational performance.

Similarly, the Public Health Building at Dibba Al Hisn Health Centre is being developed to strengthen federal healthcare capacity and ensure integrated service delivery.

The project integrates advanced digital technologies and smart environmental controls to enhance indoor environmental quality, increase efficiency, and reduce carbon emissions in line with national sustainability priorities.

Sustainable water infrastructure in the eastern region

In the Eastern Region, the Ministry has implemented several dams and water channels using locally sourced materials, increasing local resource utilization by approximately 70 percent and reducing environmental impact.

These projects incorporate natural and sustainable drainage solutions to minimize long-term operational and maintenance requirements while safeguarding water resources.

Al Mansoori emphasized that the infrastructure projects implemented by the Ministry represent a fundamental pillar in strengthening the UAE’s competitiveness and ensuring readiness for future urban expansion.
