Vodafone Oman and Software Group to advance digital financial services

Vodafone Oman has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Software Group, a global technology leader in digital financial service platforms, to collaborate on advancing innovative digital financial services in Oman.

This strategic partnership aligns with the Sultanate’s Vision 2040, which prioritizes digital transformation, financial inclusion, and sustainable economic development.

Through the partnership, the two companies intend to accelerate the growth of Oman’s digital economy by enabling access to next-generation financial services for individuals, businesses, and institutions.

Furthermore, the collaboration aims to advance financial inclusion by introducing customer-centric digital channels and solutions that promote greater convenience, accessibility, and empowerment for individuals across the population.

The collaboration represents a pivotal step in the advancement of Oman’s financial sector, laying the groundwork for inclusive, technology-driven services that will empower communities and drive the country’s transition toward a sustainable digital economy.

Commenting on the importance of the partnership, Sayyid Fahad Abdul Aziz Saud Al-Busaidi, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Vodafone Oman said that, “Our partnership with Software Group will ensure a seamless integration of digital financial solutions into our ecosystem, giving customers secure and convenient ways to manage their everyday needs. By working together, we will combine global expertise with our digital-first approach to deliver meaningful solutions for customers in Oman and support the long-term growth of the sector.”

Under the terms of the MoU, Software Group and Vodafone Oman will collaborate to explore innovative offerings built on Software Group’s DigiWave Digital Banking Platform and a suite of digital channel solutions, including mobile wallets, agency banking, mobile and internet banking, digital lending, and integration services.

These solutions will be tailored to address the evolving needs of Oman’s financial ecosystem, enabling banks, fintechs, government entities, and enterprises to deliver customized, customer-focused financial services, as per the statement.
