UAE and Montenegro discuss enhanced bilateral cooperation

The United Arab Emirates and Montenegro have discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations in a way that supports the mutual interests of both nations.

HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Prime Minister of the Republic of Montenegro, Milojko Spajić, have explored cooperation between the countries.

During the talks, officials from both sides discussed opportunities for deeper collaboration across various sectors, emphasizing their shared commitment to fostering stronger economic and diplomatic ties.

According to the reports, the two sides reviewed available opportunities to develop cooperation in sectors aligned with the developmental priorities of both countries.

Further, the discussions reflect the ongoing efforts by both countries to expand partnerships and enhance cooperation in areas of strategic importance. They also exchanged views over several issues of shared interest.

During the discussion, HH Sheikh Abdullah praised the growing and flourishing relations between the UAE and the Republic of Montenegro.

UAE–Montenegro Bilateral Relations

Since establishing diplomatic relations on April 4, 2008, the UAE and Montenegro have developed a strong and diverse partnership. Built on mutual respect, shared values, and a joint commitment to progress, the relationship has steadily expanded across multiple areas of cooperation.

As per reports, Montenegro opened its embassy in Abu Dhabi in January 2010, and the UAE reciprocated by establishing its first embassy in the Western Balkans in Podgorica later that year. These diplomatic missions underscore the depth of their bilateral relations and serve as conduits for ongoing dialogue and cooperation.
